Bye bye Symbian

Nokia became a synonym for weak and uninspired business, an opinion the leaving board president Jorma Ollila wants to change.

In an interview with the Financial Times he announced a product campaign on tablets and ‘hybrid’ devices (whatever this may be from the perspective of a dumb phone manufacturer).

Looking back he reflected that Nokias move into the smartphone sector 2006 has been ‘too slow’, and he supports actual CEO Stephen Elops strategy to open an environment of Nokia devices and services in cooperation with Microsoft. Bye bye Symbian.
