German Games Award for a ‘Killer Game’!

As the first of it’s genre, Ego Shooter “Crysis 2” won the award for ‘Best German Game’ the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (German Computer Game Award) this Thursday evening.

Frankfurt based developer Crytek convinced gamers worldwide with outstanding quality and technology innovations.

The Award is funded by the German government authorities to highlight games with outstanding impact in economics, education and innovation.

German conservative parties CDU and CSU now seem major pissed off that their cultural/educational approach is undermined by what head of the parliamentary workgroup ‘culture and media’ Wolfgang Börnsen calls ‘killer games’.

What did they expect? Teletubbies teaching mathematics?
