Music Hack Day / Amsterdam

Last weekend the 2012 Amsterdam Music Hack Day took place and delivered a bunch of hilarious to interesting projects again.

It’s raining bits! (Kind of synth-umbrella, detecting raindrops and turning them into 8bit music.)

HearMyFace (face recognition to trigger shortcuts and keys)
Bluetooth MIDI interface (proof of concept – transmit and receive MIDI data via Bluetooth, which might become very interesting for all the iPad controllers out there 😉

Remix:crowdsourced (tool to remix sounds via graphical transcription – app-able!)

CitySonar (Javascript application which pulls data from OpenStreetMap and then generates audio tones on the client using the HTML5 Audio API)
