mobile music? anyone?

mobile music 1.0

talking about the big coming revenue rise in selling music.

As a matter of fact, mobile is the paradigm of today and tomorrow.
As an increasing amount of data is communicated via mobile devices, more people using mobile computers, smartphones (are there any dumbphones around anyway?), more money than ever is spent on mobile infrastructure like devices, providers, the content industry is hoping to get their share from this development.
In case of the music industry this means users listening to music on their cellphones. Now here’s a breakdown of activities on the cell phone (both smart and dumbphones), according to a comScore study of juvenile users.
66% sent a text message to another phone
34% used a mobile browser
31% used downloaded apps
22% played games
22% accessed a social networking site or blog
And ONLY 14.5% listened to music on their mobile phone.
This will obviously grow in the near future, but will it become the big revenue the music industry is hoping for?
