some news about Hamburg based Reeperbahn Festival landed on my desk.
Seymore Stein, co-founder of Sire Records, the label that first signed Madonna, The Ramones, Talking Heads, …, will do a keynote Sept. 23rd.
Then Reeperbahn partners up with AIM, BPI and MPA, the three big associations in the UK, plus Network Europe will be on board. Chairman Rob Berends says “Network Europe, the international association for agents, bookers, promoters and talent buyers looking forward to working with the campus and Reeperbahn Festival and with the Reeperbahn campus in relevant panels and open our one-on-one Speed Meetings cooperate.
Network Europe will also hold its second annual meeting (Members Meeting) at the Reeperbahn Campus.”
And of course we learn about the first panels being held at the event, mainly live orientated topics that match the set up of Reeperbahn Festival:
Stefan Lemkuhl, DE (Melt!), Christoph Huber, CH (St. Gallen Open Air, Yourope), Rob Challice, UK (Association of Independent Festivals) will be on stage for some reflections and deep insights into the festival season 2010 and some prognosis on 2011.
Then Johanes Mertmann, DE (Ticketscript), Klaus Zemke, (photo), DE (Ticketmaster), Ralf Scheffler, DE (Smart Tickets / Batschkapp) will introduce us to news and trends from the world of ticketing.
Hope to get some more topics soon.
btw. tickets for Reeperbahn Campus are € 149.00 incl. all events of the Reeperbahn campus, preferred admission to the venues of the Reeperbahn Festival, public transport ticket.
