Google goes free speech, “Breaking Borders Award”

I wrote a line on Googles new PR strategy, utilizing the issue of free speech and uncensored online journalism a few weeks ago.

Now they announced the “Breaking Borders Award”, which has been created by Google along with the blog-advocacy Global Voices and Thomson Reuters honoring ”those around the world who are fighting for free expression online”. The award, totaling $ 30,000, will support web projects, initiated by individuals or groups that demonstrate courage, ”energy”(?) and resourcefulness in using the Internet to promote freedom of expression.
Nominations for the award can be submitted at www.breakingborders.net

on www.youtube.de/googlefreeexpression you’ll find the respecitve channel
